Ironman Triathlon: How I achieved the "impossible" an year ago!
Exactly an year ago, on 16-Feb-2020, I finished my maiden Ironman Triathlon in Delhi starting against a chilling winter at 3AM in a heated pool, followed by icy winds on the cycle till afternoon, then running in a fairly warm sun and yet finishing in a late cold evening. For those who are new to the game, it consists of 3.8 kms swimming, 180 kms cycling and then 42.2 kms of running in an overall time of 17 hours. IMPOSSIBLE! A word that has different measurements for everyone. For a person who doesn't know swimming, impossible could be trying to do a few laps in a pool. For someone who hasn't run in her adult life, doing a marathon could be impossible. For me, finishing an Ironman seemed to be impossible five years ago.
